Re-organization!

Oh! Yesterday not only did I have three orders from Etsy to ship out but I also got new furniture to rearrange my too-cramped, too-filled crafting space. Roger was also pleased to know that he wouldn’t have to trip on the way to his desk. I took “after” pictures but spaced on the “before” ones. Thank goodness, they would have been embarrassing!

Closet organization for upcycled cigar boxes

Look at all those cigar boxes! I had the bottom nine cubes before and added the top six yesterday. The stack of trash cans you see aren’t considered clutter. I swear! They, along with the stuff in them, are for Lucky Mutts’s Poop-Scoop-A-Thon which is coming up on Saturday, November 20th. Check out the events section of Lucky Mutts for more information.

I also now have a shipping center! Hehe… sounds so official! At least I’m pretty much ready for the holidays even though I’d still like to make 10 or so more boxes.

And yeah, the sewing machine doesn’t have much to do with shipping, but it works! And I do like seeing it out in the open instead of buried in the closet. Anyway, I’m off to craft and list items in my Etsy shop, check it out if you’d like!

Etsy Store of the Week – VerreEncore

This week’s Etsy store is VerreEncore who offers a variety of beautifully made enamel and metal jewelry. Her line of jewelry is colorful, modern and quite artistic.

Before I point out my favorite item in VerreEncore‘s Etsy store (hint: it’s a pair of earrings!) I want to apologize for being so late today!  This weekend was crazy fun! Friday night, Roger, Jocelyn and I along with some other people went to Fallon’s Corn Maze. Had a blast, ran into some friends from high school and met their significant others and got a cookie once we completed the maze! Yum! Then Saturday Jocelyn and I went to the best ever wine tasting party! And not only did I stay up late, but drank from 5pm to 2 in the morning! So… I did not wake up until about noon… and then I promptly did nothing. So that’s why I’m late – sorry all! Anywho, back to the wonderful jewelry by VerreEncore!

The first item is, of course, my choice! I love the quiet, understated look of these modern earrings. VerreEncore offers this style in a variety bright colors and considering their reasonable price, must be one of the best sellers in her shop.

This next pair is what I would love to get for my mom for her upcoming birthday. They are just gorgeous and I think mom would love the colors!

VerreEncore doesn’t just offer gorgeous earrings in both stud and dangle, but other jewelry too including wonderful necklaces. These two designs show off VerreEncore‘s artistry and style.

So go over to VerreEncore‘s shop now and check out her line of affordable and beautiful handmade jewelry! She also has a wonderful line of silver jewelry at her other Etsy shop: SoundsofSilver.

Etsy Store of the Week – On Vacation!

Hi there all! I’m on my first vacation in five years! Woo-hoo! I’m enjoying the beer and food of Chicago this week and will have tons of pictures when I get back.

I hope all is well with you and to talk to you guys soon!

Etsy Store of the Week – Takes A Break!

Sorry everyone! The store that I was going to feature had to take an unexpected vacation away from Etsy. I hope everything’s alright with them. I’ll be featuring them soon, so tune in again next Sunday!

I thought I would take a short break as well, so here’s me taking advantage of this opportunity! I’m off to play XBox 360’s Harry Potter Lego for several hours! See ya!

Being a bum…

So Saturday’s are my long run days and today is 6 miles! But, having wasted most of the morning sleeping and doing homework, I can’t go running until later! First, it’s freaking hot! And Roger and I have something to do at 12:00 so I can’t go now, I’m not that fast a runner.

So I will do the six miles, but in the evening. This will be my first evening run in months, I’m curious to see if I’ll be loads slower or run at about the same pace. Stay tuned! I’ll let you know!

Oh and don’t forget that tomorrow is the Etsy Featured Seller of the Week! And this one is a good one, but I’m not telling until then. 🙂

Review of “The Dog Owner’s Problem Solver”

The book  “The Dog Owner’s Problem Solver” written by John and Caroline Bower caught my eye while I was in the library the other day. My seven month old English Springer pup barks at strangers when we are walking on leash. I’ve never really had this problem, so I wanted some expert advice for help.

My full review is at: The Dog Owner’s Problem Solver review on AC

You can read why I would not recommend buying or really even picking up this book at the review above.

Stay tuned for more reviews and resources for dog and pet owners! Have a bark-tastic day!
